This book has been written by Mark Haddon.
He was born in 1962 in Northamton.

In the story is a boy, whose name is Christopher Boon, he is fifteen years old and has Asperger's Syndrom.
It's a murder mystery novel and Christopher wants to find the murderer of Mrs. Shears dog Wellington, who is killed with a gardenfork.
Christopher hates the colours yellow and brown and being touched.

These are some of his Behavioral Problems:
  • Not talking to people for a long time
  • Not eating or drinking anything for a long time
  • Not liking being in really small places with other people
  • screaming when he's angry or confused
  • smashing things when he's angry or confused
  • groaning
  • he's fusing to use his toothbrush if anyone else has touched it
  • Not eating food if diffrent sorts of food are touching eachother
Christopher thinks his mother is dead but she's still alive.
At the time Mrs. Shears helps his dad and him with the house and the food.
Christopher knows a very good deal about maths and a little about humenbeings.

In the middle of the book he finds an enverlope with many letters from his mum and now he knows that she is in London and he tries to find her.
After a few weeks he comes back with her to his dad and he tells him something that Christopher never thought: his dad killed Wellington gecause he thought that Mrs. Shears has no time for them.
From that time Christopher is afraid of his dad and wants to be at the flat of his mum.

At the end of the book he lives the most time at the flat of his mum but if she'd not here, he has to be at the house of his dad.

I've chosen this book because it seemed to be very nice.
Sometimes it' a litle bit difficult to understand, mostly when he's speaking about starsigns and maths.

But I think it's a really good book and I recommend it to you!
